Review: Tsubo - Con Cognizione Di Causa

Por / By Pedro Humangous

Grande obra! Nota: 8,5

English Version:

It is extremely rewarding to work with metal, especially when we have the opportunity to listen to great works from various bands over the world. Eclectic Productions sent us a pack and it contained this amazing album from an italian band called Tsubo. I did not know what to expect from this album, because neither the logo nor the artwork revealed much about the style practiced by them. So I put the album to play while doing my research routine to try to understand better about the band. I come across an impassable barrier of sound that devastated the environment through a powerful Grind Metal! The speakers were suffering with such aggression and technical precision of these guys. "Con Di Cognizione Cause" is actually the first full length of their career - after releasing a few demos, EPs and splits. This album contains no less than twenty sonic assaults, mixing the aforementioned Grind, with killer scents of Thrash, Death and vocals that flirt with Black Metal. You can still notice the Hardcore influences, making this work very diverse and interesting to hear. The coolest thing is that they sing in their native language, making it even more curious - it made me want to take Italian lessons. I was astonished with their great technique and the quality of the recordings. I strongly recommend an urgent hearing and, from now on, they are in my target! Great work! 8,5/10
